Government proposals

Governments of any size can award grant money.  Writing government proposals can mean approaching a local, regional, state-wide, or federal agency with varying degrees of complexity. For example, proposals to the National Endowment for the Arts can be substantially less complex than proposals to the Department of Education.

One of the most intriguing government proposals I’ve written was to the Department of Commerce for funding to upgrade the radio station for Reading & Radio Resource – Station NTRB.

Station NTRB is a radio reading service that reads print materials for those unable to read for themselves because of vision loss or impairment, physical disability, or learning differences. The station provides 24/7 programming and is one of many radio reading services scattered across North America.
