A Highly Idiosyncratic Guide to Dallas Beauty
These are Donna World recommendations, based on my personal experience, or on a few occasions, my friends’ recommendations.
Todd at SalonGossip
4113 Rawlins St, Dallas, TX 75219
214-559-3337
Hair can make or break your look. So, a professional and best-of-all talented, even visionary hairdresser is key. So is having a friend who will spend hours flat-ironing your hair. You have to find your own friend, though. I’m not sharing. For hairdressers, Todd is the best!!!!! He landed me a photo in TV Guide years ago. I had Star Trek hair.
Floyd’s Barber Shop
3636 McKinney Ave., #140, Dallas, TX 75204
214-219-4500
My sons’ hair looks good. Plus, they rescued one of my sons from the worst buzz cut accident. He left happy. Recommendations don’t come better than that.
Clive & Co.
5301 Alpha Rd, #46, Dallas, TX 75240
(972) 934-0500
Super retro updos by Britanny left me feeling like a 50s movie star!
Bryce at Barney’s NorthPark, T. LeClerc counter
8687 N. Central Expy., Dallas, TX 75225
469-221-4700
I hate foundation. Can’t stand that thick, made-up look. Plus, I have oily skin, so everything starts to shine in seconds. Bryce knows make-up, and I always look my best after he’s finished. Plus, sometimes they’ll bring you a glass of champagne. Yea!
Beauty Times

Anything by Serge Luten, my favorite is Datura noir. Available locally at Barney’s at NorthPark or you can buy online.
