Reading & Radio Resource recently received a $25,000 grant from the Hillcrest Foundation in support of Reading’s Vision 2050 Campaign. Vision 2050, a $500,000 campaign, addresses infrastructure, technology, and program excellence needs. The Vision 2050 Case Statement and proposals are written by Donna Miller of Miller Consulting. It’s not every day I have the chance to write about Martin Luther, The Reformation, and the organ building tradition in Northern Germany! Writing this story about The Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration’s new organ was a treat. ![]() Writing editorials and opinion columns requires several skills at once – the ability to write succinctly, maybe even entertainingly, tightly structured, and in the voice of your client. This leads us to perhaps the most important skill after basic writing skills, being a careful and intuitive listener. ![]() Feature writing offers a chance to more fully explore an issue and to tell a compelling a story. It’s also a chance to bore the reader after the first page if attention is not paid to story arc.
